One involves improving student achievement through the development of enhanced school programs and instruction in the classroom. The professional development of the staff will be directed toward instructional delivery and improved student performance. Communications between Elmer and Pittsgrove is our third goal. The on going sharing of information for parents, students, staff and Board members will be supported and encouraged.

This summer the teachers and staff have been working on incorporating technology into the curriculum and developing plans for guided reading and writing at each grade level.

All of us in Elmer School look forward with positive enthusiasm to a rewarding and exciting school year ahead.

Email Dr. Berkowitz at sberkowitz@elmerschool.com

Stephen Berkowitz,
Superintendent of Schools

A message from Dr. Berkowitz

I have served as the Chief School Administrator in the Borough of Elmer since 1979.
